I found this interesting article the other day. It discusses one person's experience with probiotics and weight loss. This individual started taking Multibionta, a vitamin with probiotics that I wrote about a few years ago. Then, with no changes in diet or exercise, he gradually lost all his excess weight over 18 months. He didn't have a lot of weight to lose, but the weight did come down gradually. This is in comparison to regular diets where there is a large drop in weight and then a rebound.
The theory is that probiotics can balance the bacteria in the gut, which will eventually return a person's weight to a normal level. The document has many references to explain the theory. I have a few other posts coming up related to this idea as well.
