I did a short interval session at the indoor track today. It consisted of:
- One lap (1/6 mile) x 6 repetitions (walk one lap in between)
As it turned out, a local high school team was also at the track doing intervals. They were doing one-lap repeats as well. Except for a couple of speedy guys, they were basically running the laps at the same pace I was. The only real difference was that they were running in shoes while I was running in socks! Who knows, maybe I led one of them question the benefits of wearing shoes.
