Alzheimer's Disease

I saw this new paper that proposed a unified theory for the cause of Alzheimer's disease.  Guess what they think is the ultimate cause?  Insulin resistance.

It seems to me that insulin resistance is connected to almost every disease condition.  And as I mentioned earlier, we already know what causes insulin resistance: refined carbohydrates.

My 4 year old identical daughters suffer from a "Childhood Alzheimer's" called Niemann Pick Type C. Like AD, it is progressive and fatal I just took them in for brain scans which show they have a glucose metabolism problem in the frontal lobe of their brains. I am very interested in this insulin resistance theory -- or at least it being a contributing factor to memory/brain disorders.

Chris,

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. I sincerely hope you can find the cure you are seeking.
