I came across this new report from the American Medical Association that looked at the problems of light pollution. Here is an interesting section:
"Further information is required to evaluate the relative role of sleep versus the period of darkness in certain diseases or on mediators of certain chronic diseases or conditions including obesity."
Yes! There is a difference between sleep time and total darkness time, as I've written about before. I'm glad the AMA is taking a serious look into this.





The same AMA that still endorses the lipid hypothesis? You’ll have to excuse me if I’m not jumping out of my socks with enthusiasm. Light pollution seems to be the least of the AMA’s problems, if they were intellectually honest.
Can’t say I disagree. I’m just glad they’re looking at it.
