I got a hold of another time-restricted feeding study from a couple years ago. This one restricts the feeding time for mice to only 3 hours.
Predictably, the mice that ate during the restricted feeding window ended up consuming less calories than the ad libitum mice. The time-restricted feeding group ended up showing lower levels of inflammation and other disease markers.
The authors conclude:
"As restricted feeding (RF) is a less harsh regimen to follow than calorie restriction (CR), it may be suggested for individuals seeking better health and maybe even longer life span."
