I stopped at the Terra Plana store when I was in New York City last month. I tried on the Evo, but I wasn't that happy with it. The heel in the back comes up too high for my taste.
It seems shoe companies (even barefoot-type companies) always err on the side of putting extra material in shoes. It just isn't needed! My favorite shoe remains the Puma H Street. It's just a thin strip of rubber with a mesh upper.
I stocked up on the H Street before they discontinued them, but it looks like they've brought them back.

Ha Matt,
I still have a bunch of Puma H- Streets lying around, a few are a bit worn out, but I still have some that are in great condition. The colors are wacky however! Great shoe!
Thanks for the tip on the H – Streets. I love them too. Puma has discontinued them and brought them back twice now. I have stocked up again.
You should check out Feiyues – at $15 they are really inexpensive and about as minimalist as you can get. Available on Amazon. They are popular with the martial arts and free running set. My husband and I both wear them to workout and he wears them to work but I still give in to the high heel thing some days.
Hmm….I don’t believe you!
I recently bought some VIVOBAREFOOT Neos (similar but cheaper than the Evos) and they are almost barefoot with a really thin sole with zero drop. Unlike the Pumas.
You say the heel in the back comes up too high? What do you mean exactly?
Kristian
I don’t know about the Neos, but I think it would be hard to find anything that is thinner than the Puma H Street.
By the heel, I meant the top part of the heel cup. As in the part of the heel cup that hits about where your achilles tendon is. It was too high up for my liking.
