I keep reading about how an NFL lockout is "looming". This is always written about in dire terms like somehow the world will come to an end without professional football. This subject even made the front cover of the newspaper the other day.
Let's see, you have a bunch of millionaire players and billionaires owners who can't figure out how to split up the revenue pie. And this is important because…? Whatever happened to the news covering real issues, like the 10% unemployment rate? Does someone without a job really care about the NFL? I think not, and the rest of us don't care that much either.
